Casey Mize of the Tigers tries to end the Mets high scoring ways against the Tigers as he faces Clay Holmes. Holmes turned out to be a bright spot in the Mets rotation, giving them plenty of innings in his first season as a starter. He may be wearing down a bit, as he allowed a 4.78 ERA in his last ten starts. Mize’s weakness is the home run ball, with 17 HR allowed this season in 120 2/3 innings. The Mets hit five home runs in the last two games.
The Blue Jays send a healthy Shane Bieber against the Reds and Zack Littell. Bieber makes his third start, having struck out 15 batters and walked none in his first 11 1/3 innings. Littell also limits walks, second in the majors with 1.51 walks per 9 IP.
Enjoy!
