Fernando Tatis Jr. of the Padres used a game score of 76, third highest on Monday night, to jump to third place in the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. He hit two home runs and drew a walk in the 10-4 win over the Cubs. Tatis owns a .361/.429/.672 slash line on the young season.
Aaron Judge of the Yankees remains in first place after posting a two for four in a 4-1 win over the Royals, all five runs coming on solo homers. Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers holds second place after a three for five with a home run in the 5-3 win over the Rockies.
Mets Juan Soto and Pete Alonso rank fourth and fifth respectively. Soto homered and Alonso went two for two with two walks in the 5-1 win over the Twins.
The best game score of the day belonged to Kameron Misner of the Rays, an 83. He went three for four with two home runs and a walk in the 16-1 pounding of the Red Sox. After an unimpressive cup of coffee in 2024, Misner owns a .400/.444/.775 slash line in his rookie year, with eight of his seventeen hits going for extra bases. The power is new; he never showed that kind of slugging in his full seasons in the minors, so take that with a grain of salt. Still, he is seasonal age 27, so if he is going to have a great season, now is the time.
