Lucas Duda hung a blown save on Leo Nunez with a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth that brought the Mets into a 3-3 with the Marlins. It also cost Javier Vazquez a win after allowing just one run in seven innings. All was not lost for the Marlins, however, as Jason Isringhausen allowed four hits in the top of the tenth, then last a grand slam by Mike Stanton as the Marlins went on to a 7-3 victory. That’s only the second regular season grand slam Isringhausen allowed his career, and only the third extra base with the bases loaded.
