The Yankees are thinking about moving Curtis Granderson to leftfield and Brett Gardner to centerfield. I think that’s a great idea, since Gardner is the superior defender. The Yankees outfield should actually be pretty good defensively with that alignment, as Gardner will be flanked by two former centerfielders. Gardner’s speed may in fact allow Granderson and Ichiro Suzuki to play more toward the lines, closing down some real estate.
