The night I go to Fenway they play a four hour game and I need to leave before it’s over. Tonight they play the 2:40 game. The Angels win this one, 4-3, this time holding the one-run lead they took in the ninth. Both Ervin Santana and Josh Beckett pitched well. If nothing else, the series showed that John Lackey and Magic are recovered well enough from their injuries to take on the Red Sox in the post season. Beckett did give up a home run tonight, but his bout of multi-home run games seems to be over.
