Bloopers

Is anyone else seeing a blooper show on TBS right now instead of the pre-game show?
Update: I just talked to DirecTV and it does not appear to be a DirecTV problem. I take it people who have cable can’t see the game either?
Update: The game isn’t being broadcast, but starts anyway. Coco Crisp bunt singles but gets picked off, and the Red Sox fail to score in the first. I can’t believe they didn’t delay the start of the game until the problem was fixed.
Update: It appears Upton took Beckett deep in the bottom of the first. The Red Sox radio announcers just said that the catwalk kept it from going 20 rows back.
Update: They’re scrolling a message now saying to stand by for the game.
Update: I see the game at 8:28 PM EDT.
Update: They showed the Upton home run. It hit the catwalk and landed in fair territory, but that ball is gone according to the ground rules. Beckett has now allowed six home runs this post season, and Upton has hit six. The Rays lead 1-0 after one inning.
Update: One of the comments indicates a power outage in Atlanta as the cause of the problem. Amazing. ESPN put in a backup generator in the mid 1990s.

Yes…. I’m getting a little nervous here. The digital cable guide now says, instead of “MLB Baseball” :
    8 – 8:30 : mlb postgame
    8:30 —–: To Be Announced

This is the second time TBS has dissappeared in Houston during the playoffs. The first time the the HD and regular feed channels both went black for an entire night all over the city. Not sure if the problem was on TBS’s end or Comcast’s. Either way, this is INFURIATING!

Sorry, I screwed up that post… wrong things in wrong fields.
TBS has techincal difficutlies. MLB has a feed up, so you’re OK there, if you can see it.

I feel ambivalent over the outage. One the one hand, I can’t watch the game. On the other, no Chip Caray.
Overall, I think we came out ahead.

It is UNFATHOMABLE that the start of the game wasn’t delayed. What is Bud thinking?!? (I could understand not stopping a game if the technical screw-up had transpired DURING the game, like what happened during the Turkey-Germany EuroCup match.)

No it is not on anywhere there is a lame ass re-run of a show that nobody wanted to watch the first time around. They are claiming techinal difficulties. Hey it just came on guess they woke up and realized it was game time and they should have thrown the switch a half hour ago. Why would MLB trust TBS with games that are this important?
