The Tigers beat the Rangers 7-5 on Thursday afternoon as Detroit extends the team winning streak to seven games. The pitchers led the way, throwing three shutouts (1-0, 7-0, and 14-0). They allowed a .173 BA in that time with eleven extra base hits. The offense hits a robust .295 with 24 extra-base hits. Note that the streak comes against Minnesota and Texas two of the weakest teams in the AL, but good teams are supposed to beat up on the weaker squads.
