Julio Teheran returned from the disabled list to throw six hitless, scoreless innings against the Padres as the Braves win 4-1. Teheran walked three and struck out 11, and was held to 95 pitches. The Braves bullpen allowed six hits and one run in their three innings of work.
Teheran came into the game with a 4.31 ERA despite a .214 BA allowed. He walked a ton of batters, leading to a .314 OBP allowed. More than half the hits he allowed were for extra-bases. He solved the power problem today by simply not allowing a hit.
With Washington losing 8-6 to Toronto, the Braves lead in the NL East is up to 3 1/2 games.
