Top of the Ninth

Craig Kimbrel comes on to face the Giants in the top of the ninth with a 2-1 Atlanta lead. Kimbrel is the closer now that Billy Wagner is out. Cody Ross pops out to second for the first out.

Update: Travis Ishikawa pinch hits for the pitcher’s spot. He draws a walk after being behind 1-2.

Update: Andres Torres strikes out looking. Two down. It’s up to Freddy Sanchez.

Update: Sanchez singles up the middle after falling behind 0-2. That brings up Aubrey Huff, and Bobby Cox goes to his bullpen with men on first and second.

Update: Mike Dunn comes on to pitch to Huff.

Update: Huff singles just in front of Jason Heyward in right. Ishikawa scores and the game is tied at two. Brian McCann tripped on the bat trying to catch Heyward’s throw and may be hurt.

The Giants still have runners at 1st and 2nd, and McCann is staying in the game. Dunn is done, however.

Update: Peter Moylan comes in to face Buster Posey.

Update: Brooks Conrad does it again. Posey’s ground ball goes through his legs, and the Giants lead 3-2 with runners on first and third. Moylan faces his one batter and yields to Kyle Farnsworth.

Update: Farnsworth gets the strikeout to end the inning. The Braves will send their big guns, Heyward, Lee and McCann against Brian Wilson in the bottom of the ninth as the beach boy tries to protect a 3-2 lead.
