Yovani Gallardo doubled and score the Brewers first run Sunday afternoon, and that was all Brewers would need as they go on to a 2-0 win over the Cubs. Gallardo pitched seven shutout innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six. Gallardo has scored seven runs this season, a career high for him. With eight extra base hits, he’s slugging .554, and his .268/.339/.554 slashline would make him much better than a replacement hitter.
