Roy Halladay and the Phillies against the Nationals and John Lannan seemed like a mismatch, and sure enough, Philadelphia won in a blowout, 11-1. Roy performed as expected, striking out nine and walking just two in seven innings of work, throwing just 88 pitches. The Phillies collected 13 hits and nine walks. The Hits were mostly singles, but Ryan Howard and Placido Polanco each connected with men on, Polanco’s shot going for a grand slam. Phillies fans are very happy with the Halladay trade right now.
