Some readers told me that since the site upgrade, Baseball Musings takes a long time to load. I just downloaded IE 8 and compared load times with Firefox. Firefox loads the main page twice as fast as IE. I have no idea why that is true, but if you have a choice, use Firefox to view Baseball Musings.
It loads fine in Google Chrome, Opera, and Firefox 3…but hangs in my IE. I know there are some weird things that can make that happen. I’ll see if I can find some info on that and e-mail you some links about it.
On Loading:
Microsoft will not adhere to standards and mess up websites. I am not good at it, but gave up (plumrental.com). So, not surprised there are problems, I don’t use IE when I use my PC. You are not the only one with IE problems,
It loads very well on PC (firefox, safari) and mac (safari (beta),
firefox.
iPhone:
– new format is great! loads quick, easy to navigate, excellent. But – hit the Home key… there is a problem…hit the home key again… problem is worse.
Otherwise, good job on the format.

Don’t know about load time, but I noticed the RSS feed’s pretty slow about picking new stories up.
I only have IE on my computer at work. The slow loading times seemed to begin happening after the modest site redesign/change.
