The Brewers 3-2 series win over the Cubs in the NLDS came down to home field advantage. Neither team could hit in the other’s ballpark. The Brewers hit .303/.378/.525 at home, .164/.246/.262 in Chicago. The Cubs hit .277/.373/.477 in Chicago, .147/.221/.316 in Milwaukee. Note that the Cubs hit better on the road during the regular season, and perfectly fine at Miller Park. The same can be said for the Brewers. Travel fatigue should not matter, as the teams had a day to drive a short distance.
