Best Batter Today

With the LDS underway, Aaron Judge stayed atop the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings with a two for four, including a double, in a 10-1 Toronto win. He did strike out with the bases loaded when the score was just 2-0, and the Yankees only got one run out of that bases loaded, no out situation. In the same game, George Springer of the Blue Jays drew a walk in five plate appearances and ranks third. His teammate, Alejandro Kirk, hit two home runs in four trips to the plate for a game score of 72, the highest on the day. Kirk went through a very bad stretch at the end of the season, but also hit two home runs in the season finale to go out on a high note.

Cal Raleigh of the Mariners and his teammate Julio Rodriguez now rank second and fourth respectively. Both went three for five, Rodriguez adding a home run, in a 3-2, eleven inning Tigers win. Those were the only hits for Mariners batters in the game.

Juan Sot of the Mets ranks fifth.
