Punishing the Pen

The Yankees and the Blue Jays played a close game for six innings, Toronto up 2-1 in the seventh inning after the New York could get only one run out of a bases loaded, no out situation in the top of the sixth. In the bottom of the seventh, the Blue started punishing the Yankees bullpen, scoring four runs in the seventh and the eighth inning to win the game 10-1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Alejandro Kirk led the way, combining for three home runs, two by Kirk. The team managed 14 hits, ten of them against the Yankees pen.

So far, the bye teams have combined for 19 runs in two games, and the Phillies are up 3-0 on the Dodgers in the third.
