Milwaukee beats the Cubs 9-3 to take a 1-0 lead in their NLDS. The Cubs offense did what they do well, hitting three home runs. The Brewers did what they did well better, collecting 13 hits in 37 at bats, doing an outstanding job of putting balls in play and finding holes.

Jackson Chourio did leave the game after his third hit with a hamstring injury, which would hurt the Brewers if he is out for a while. Overall, however, the time off appeared to have no negative effect on Milwaukee.
