The top five of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings remained the same after games of Monday. Juan Soto of the Mets leads the pack after drawing a walk in a 1-0 Phillies win. Brice Turang of the Brewers posted an 0 for 4 in a 5-0 Texas win. Julio Rodriguez of the Mariners went two for four to gain on both those leaders, now just seven points out of first place. The Mariners beat the Cardinals 4-2. Bobby Witt Jr. of the Royals and Corey Seager of the Rangers did not start due to injury.

The best game score of the day came off the bat of Josh Bell of the Nationals, an 86. Bell went four for six with two home runs in a 15-7 win over the Marlins. Bell is slugging just .403 on the season, as drawing walks has been his strength this year.
