First place teams clash in Chicago as the Braves visit the Cubs. Julio Teheran faces Jon Lester. Teheran saw a huge improvement in his walk rate in 2016, but he regressed to his mean in 2017 and appears to have stayed there. He cut down his home run rate this season, and owns a very respectable 3.40 ERA. Lester, on the other hand, posts the highest home run rate of his career, a big reason for his 4.47 ERA.

Titans clash in Arizona as Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers take on former teammate Zack Greinke and the Diamondbacks. Kershaw no longer dominates batters with strikeouts at the rate of a few years ago, but he seldom walks batters, and remains difficult to hit. Greinke moved in the same direction, with both a lower walk and K rate than Kershaw. Greinke and Kershaw are both in the top ten of lowest OBP allowed.
