Randal Grichuk homers in the first inning against Clayton Kershaw to give the Cardinals an early 1-0 lead. The St. Louis rookie hit three home runs in 110 at bats during the regular season, but 10 of his 27 hits went for extra base, so he did have a little pop. All three of his homers came against left-handers, which is probably why he got the start today.
