Francisco Cordero gives up two hits and a walk in the bottom of the ninth, setting up a Craig Counsell sacrifice fly for the winning run as the Brewers turn a 3-2 deficit into a 4-3 win over the Reds. Cordero has now blown his last three save opportunities, and has given up seven runs in his last 3 1/3 innings. Cincinnati falls to four games back in the division, and the Brewers remain tied with the Cardinals at the break, the Pirates one game back, but even in the AFILC.
Update: By the way, I don’t find Dontrelle Willis‘s start that encouraging. He only allowed two runs in six innings, but he walked four. He won’t last walking six per nine innings.
