Afternoon Duel

Colby Lewis and David Price each pitched outstanding baseball Wednesday, but Lewis came out on top as he allowed no runs in eight innings of work as the Rangers take the series with a 3-0 win. Both starters went eight innings, Lewis allowing four hits, Price five, but David’s hits were concentrated and longer. Two doubles helped lead to three runs, and the only walk issued by Price came around to score.

Lewis has now posted quality starts in six of his last seven appearances. Since April 30th, he owns a 2.04 ERA.
