Via Halos Heaven, the Angels broke off rocky negotiations with Adrian Beltre:

A source close to the Angels-Adrian Beltre negotiations told me tonight that the Angels have dropped out after “making him (Beltre) an incredible offer.” The source reports that the offer was rejected by Beltre and his agent, Scott Boras, and that “there’s no room for further negotiation.”

Does Boras think Texas will meet his offer, or that his close relationship with the Angels will eventually bring them around? If the Rangers do want Beltre, now is the time to strike.
