The home plate umpire in the Athletics/Rangers game just hurt the home team again. With the infield in, Ian Kinsler tried to score on a ground ball. The A’s catcher, Josh Donaldson took the throw in front of the plate and didn’t block. His sweep tag looked late to me in real time, but the ump called Kinsler out. The replays didn’t show anything that made me change my mind, but it was a close play. I thought Kinsler’s foot was in there.
