First place teams clash in Toronto as Luis Garcia leads the Astros against Shane Bieber and the Blue Jays. Garcia makes his second start after returning from Tommy John surgery. He allowed no walks in his first six innings, but did give up two home runs. Bieber makes his fourth start after the same surgery, striking out 21 in his first 17 1/3 innings.

The Reds and Padres battle in San Diego. Zack Littell takes on Michael King. With 165 1/3 innings under his belt, Littell set a new single season high, but also leads the majors in home runs allowed. King pitched only about 1/3 of the season, but contributed a 2.81 ERA in eleven starts. He allowed just six home runs in 57 2/3 innings.
