The top five of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings did not change as only second place Corey Seager of the Rangers played. He went one for three with a walk to remain in second place. The Mariners won the game 6-0, Cal Raleigh hitting his 42nd home run of the season. Raleigh ranks eighth.

The best game score of the day belonged to Sean Murphy of the Braves. He went two for two with three walks and a double for a score of 72 in a wild 12-11 win over the Reds. Both teams scored eight runs in the eighth inning. Murphy is a good example why BA doesn’t matter much, as he owns a .233/.332/.491 slash line. He few hits tend to be for power, and his ability to walk means his power comes at a low cost in outs.
