The Guardians put their five-game win streak on the line as they host the Angels. Patrick Sandoval takes on Cal Quantrill. Sandoval is now 9-24 in his four season career. The last two years have been tough, as his record stands at 8-15 despite a 3.24 ERA. Over the same time span, Quantrill stands 20-8 with a 3.20 ERA.

The Rays try to earn a split with the Blue Jays as Drew Rasmussen faces Ross Stripling. Rasmussen owns a 1.81 ERA since the start of July, allowing just 51 hits in 64 2/3 innings. Stripling’s best ERA came in 2018, a 3.02 mark. He’s at 3.03 right now.

Corbin Burnes leads the Brewers against the Cardinals and Adam Wainwright as Milwaukee tries to sweep the two game set and gain in the NL Central race. Burnes owns the best ERA in the majors since the start of 2020, minimum 300 innings. He leads due to his high K rate and stinginess with home runs. Wainwright and catcher Yadier Molina ties the record for most starts by battery mates their last time out, and should set the record tonight.
