The Astros beat the Rays 3-2. Tampa Bay put the first two runners on in the top of the ninth inning, but a double play and a ground ball to third base ended the game and gave Houston the win need to take their magic number to zero. Carlos Correa hit a three-run home run for the only Astros scoring in the game. Lance McCullers Jr. allowed two runs in six innings to go 13-5 on the year and lowers his ERA to 3.16. He now is over 162 innings needed to qualify for the AL ERA leaders.
