Tigers Tie

The Tigers win and the White Sox lose with the result a tie for first place between Detroit and Chicago. This actually is bad news for Cleveland and Minnesota. With two teams way out in front of the division, it’s less likely that both will come back to the pack. However, it’s good for the fans as it’s always fun to see a close race between two good teams.

Check out BP’S third-order WP. The Indians are four wins less than they should; the Sox, four games better, putting the Indians actually ahead. A three-team race is very possible

No, but they are indicative of the actual performance of the team, and if they will improve/decline as the season goes on. I just said the Indians are a bit better than their record implies, and that it could very well be a three-team race.
