Bumming Out Kershaw

Madison Bumgarner earns a win and a Game Winning RBI as his solo home run in the third off Clayton Kershaw was the only run the Giants needed as they shutout the Dodgers for the third day in a row, winning 4-0. For Kershaw, it’s the first home run allowed to a pitcher. Kershaw is now 2-3 with a 4.32 ERA, while Bumgarner goes to 5-2 with a 2.84 ERA.

The two on the surface did not pitch that differently. Kershaw seven full innings, Bumgarner was out after 6 1/3. The Dodgers were 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position, while the Giants supported the homer by going 3 for 5 with runners in scoring position.
