In an earlier post I noted how an increasing strikeout rate may doom Adam Dunn. The same can be said of Juan Pierre. Juan owns one of the lowest strikeout rates of his generation. For his career, his K rate is a low 0.058, but this season he already struck out 10 times in 73 PA, 0.137 K/PA. With no power to compensate for the strikeouts, Juan’s batting average is plunging.
