James Crabtree sends this link about the walking dead at PETCO Park this weekend:
An army of the walking dead is set to descend on Petco Park in San Diego this weekend. Instead of fleeing the impending zombie apocalypse, thousands of fans are plopping down $75 for a chance to lock themselves in the baseball stadium and outwit the brain-eating throngs.
Welcome to the Walking Dead Escape, a zombie-themed obstacle course on the concourse of Petco Park, timed to coincide with Comic-Con. The legendary 42-year-old comic book conference brought more than 126,000 visitors to the San Diego Convention Center in 2011 and is a must-attend for fans of sci-fi, fantasy and all things ink.
Walking Dead Escape organizers are hoping to sell at least 10,000 tickets to their Zombie obstacle course with tickets available on the Active.com platform. Makeup artists and designers from the Walking Dead cable show on AMC will assist with costume design.
As James commented, “With the Padres often playing like the undead they’d probably do pretty well in navigating this challenge.” Ouch!
