Close, But no Cigar

Evan Longoria just missed his second home run of the game by a couple of feet as Scott Podsednik jumps to hall haul in the ball at the wall. If it had landed in the seats, the three-run shot would have won the game for the Rays. Instead, it goes as a sacrifice fly and the game is up to Carlos Pena with a man on first and two out, the Royals leading 3-2.

Update: Pena walks, but Upton flies out to center to end the game. Both Bannister and Niemann pitched well, allowing one run, neither getting the decision. They combined to allow five hits over 14 1/3 innings.

I think you meant ‘haul’ instead of ‘hall’.

    Just sayin’

    Cheers!
