The Orioles acquire Julio Lugo from the St. Louis Cardinals. It’s a good pickup for Baltimore, as Brian Roberts has an iffy back, and Cesar Izturis is not much of an offensive player. The best thing is, the Boston Red Sox are paying most of Lugo’s salary, so the Orioles get him at league minimum.
