The Rockies downed the Brewers 4-2 Wednesday night for their seventh straight win. Troy E. Renck points out in the Denver Post:
During the streak, Colorado relievers have a 1.23 ERA in 14 2/3 innings compared with their opponents’ 7.30 mark in 24 2/3.
The Rockies bullpen got off to a horrible start. From a batter’s point of view, they turned everyone into an MVP in April with a .315/.372/.527 line. In May, they got the power under control, .295/.349/.389, and in June they’re lights out, .207/.270/.293. They’ve even been better during the streak.
Still, even with the win streak the Rockies stand five games under .500. Still just five games out of the wild card they’re in much better shape than they were at the end of 2007.
