Randy Johnson, the San Francisco Treat

The Colorado Rockies pound Randy Johnson, scoring seven runs against him in 5 2/3 innings. Johson walked three and struck out none. That’s something we’ve seen from him on the road this year. In San Francisco, Johnson’s ERA is 1.89 and he’s struck out 23 and walked 3 in 19 innings. On the road, however, Johnson’s ERA stands at 11.37, with 7 strikeouts and 13 walks in 12 2/3 innings. Maybe the Giants should only let him pitch at home this year. I can imagine that with Randy’s back, the road travel is difficult for him. He didn’t make the trip to Chicago, for example, going directly to Colorado instead.
