The Blue Jays go for a sweep of the Marlins with Kevin Gausman facing Eury Perez. Guasman performed well during the Toronto surge, posting a 2.63 ERA since June 26th in ten starts. Perez posted a decent sophomore season, doing a good job at cutting down his home run rate.

The Dodgers try to regain a tie for NL West as they send Yoshinobu Yamamoto against Nick Pivetta of the Padres. Yamamoto, at 2.90, has a much better ERA than his 10-8 record. The Dodgers overall are 13-11 in his starts, indicating a missed opportunity for wins. Pivetta’s 2.81 ERA is well below his career average of 4.51. He greatly reduced both his walk and home run rates this season.
