That’s one more K per 9 IP than second place Chris Sale. Canning owns an almost identical ERA compared to Gore (Canning at 2.90, Gore at 2.87). The Yankees visit the Royals with Max Fried taking on Noah Cameron. It’s really a matchup of two great veterans against two hopeful rookies. Cameron owns a 0.85 ERA in his first five starts in the majors, and Fried brings a 1.78 ERA into the game. Royals fans get to see Jac Caglianone for this first time. At 6′ 5″, 250 lb., Caglianone could be Aaron Judge‘s mini me. So far, 57% of Caglianone’s balls in play were hard hit.
