The top five of the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings saw a new addition based on games of Wednesday. Juan Soto of the Nationals remains in the top spot as he singles in the 3-1 win over the Braves. Matt Olson of the Braves stays in third place after an 0 for 4 in the same game. Cardinals teammates Paul Goldschmidt and Tyler O’Neill sit second and fifth respectively after a their game against the Royals was postponed.
Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. moves into fourth place after a big night at the plate. His four for four with a double and three home runs was good for a game score of 97. That was the best game score of the day. It is also the best game score of the season by 15 points. For Guerrero, it’s the best game of his career so far. In his short career, he produced six game scores of at least 80, one reason he stands in the top five today.
