Ronald Acuna Jr.of the Braves tore his ACL:

The injury took place Saturday as the Braves faced the Miami Marlins as Acuña needed to be carted off the field as he was visibly upset and in pain. Acuña chased a fly ball in deep right field, and as he leaped to make a catch near the wall, his right knee appeared to buckle awkwardly.

He will undergo surgery and be done for the season.

Acuna joined the Braves in 2018, and in that time he ranks fourth in the majors in home runs, the majority of those as a lead-off hitter. He is an unusual talent, a Rickey Henderson for this era, but with more power and less need for steals. Here’s hoping for a full recovery. At seasonal age 23, one hopes his best seasons are ahead of him.
