Jon Lester returns to Chicago as the Nationals face the Cubs and Adbert Alzolay. Lester was a bit wild in his first three starts, walking seven batters in sixteen innings. He has yet to allow a home run, however, good for a 2.25 ERA. Alzolay, on the other hand, shows great control and power with a high K rate and a low walk rate, but six home runs put his ERA at 4.50.

In San Diego, Jon Gray leads the Rockies against Yu Darvish. Gray’s 2.93 ERA comes mostly from pitching at Coors, where he owns a 2.00 ERA in 36 innings. Away that mark goes to 6.30 in ten innings. Darvish allowed all five of his home runs in San Diego this season.
