Framber Valdez pitches seven strong innings as the Astros beat the Athletics 5-2 to take a two games to none lead in the Dodger Stadium ALCS. Valdez gave up two solo home runs among his five hits, walking one and striking out four. Enoli Paredes and Ryan Pressly finish the game, each pitching an inning. That leaves the rest of the bullpen rested for the possible sweep tomorrow.

Valdez pitched 12 innings in the 2020 post-season now with two runs allowed, three walks, and nine K. Not bad for his first time in the playoffs.
