The Dodgers hit three home runs in their 7-2 defeat of Texas. The home runs set a National League record:
The Dodgers clubbed a home run in each of the first three innings to set the National League record for home runs in a calendar month. Corey Seager lined a solo shot in the first. Will Smith blasted a solo homer in the second to tie the one-month NL mark set by the Atlanta Braves in June of last year. Cody Bellinger broke the record with a two-run home run off Rangers starter Kyle Gibson in the third inning. It was the Dodgers’ 57th homer in August.

The Yankees set the MLB record last August (2019) with 74 home runs, and in the same month the Twins hit 59. Three other AL teams hit 58, and one other AL team hit 57.

So, do NL team offensive records like this get an asterisk because of the DH? I suppose they’ve played some DH games the past few years with inter league play, but it seems inevitable that a record like this would be set with full time DH plus a more intense than usual schedule.
Dodgers DHs did hit five of the home runs, so they don’t set the record without them.
