Kansas City tries to make up some of their 24 1/2 game deficit in the AL Central as they face the Twins. Glenn Sparkman takes on Jake Odorizzi. Sparkman pitched about the same number of innings as last year. He brought both his hits and walks down quite a bit, lowering his ERA by nearly a run. Odorizzi goes for his tenth win of the season, owning a 1.92 ERA. He’s allowed just four home runs in 70 1/3 innings.

Mike Minor battles Tanner Roark as the surprising Texas Rangers visit the Reds. Minor increase his K rate and reduced his home run rate this season, bringing his ERA down a run from last year. Roark pitched solidly for the Reds so far, but is going through a rough stretch. He allowed just two home runs through the end of May, but three in his last 11 innings.
