The battle of Texas features Mike Minor of the Rangers taking on Wade Miley of the Astros. Minor improved his ERA by upping his strikeout rate and lowering his home run rate. Miley holds his opponents to a .285 OBP with just nine walks allowed in 39 1/3 innings.

Mike Soroka leads the Braves against the Diamondbacks and Luke Weaver. Sorka comes into the game with a 1.14 ERA, but in just 23 2/3 innings. He has yet to allow a home run. Weaver walks four batters for every 11 he strikes out this season.
