CC Sabathia hits the first Red Sox batter of the third inning, and the flood gates start to open. After a single and a sacrifice fly, a ground out and a wild pitch put a runner at third. A double and a single drive in two more runs, and the Red Sox take a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the third inning. They are now 6 for 13 in the series with two out and men in scoring position.

Update: Zach Britton comes on to pitch the fourth inning for the Yankees, and he immediately gives up a home run to Christian Vazquez. Vazquez slugger .283 during the regular season.
