Games of the Day

The good thing about the Tuesday night game between the Padres and Reds is that one of Andrew Cashner or Mike Leake might get a win. Both pitched well despite losing records this season.

The Pirates try to gain ground on the Brewers as Gerrit Cole faces Macro Estrada. Cole owns a better than 3:1 K:BB for his short career. although his hits allowed area a bit high for a fine K rate. Estrada is closer to 4:1 K:BB, but gives up a ton of home runs.

Finally, Jake Arrieta tries to help the Cubs win two days in a row against the Cardinals as he takes on Adam Wainwright. Arrieta allows a high .325 BA, but with runners in scoring position that drops to .231, leaving him with an excellent ERA. Wainwright allowed just 17 home runs in 299 2/3 innings over the last two seasons.

Enjoy!
