The Reds travel to Milwaukee to take on the Brewers as Amir Garrett faces Matt Garza. Garrett is off to a good start to his season and career. In his first three starts, he struck out 21 and walked just three in 19 2/3 innings. Garza returns from the disabled list after a groin injury. Garza’s last four starts against the Reds have been poor, 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. He also allowed five unearned runs.

The Royals visit the White Sox with Jason Vargas battling Miguel Gonzalez. Vargas appears to have greatly benefited from his Tommy John surgery. In his six games since healing, he is 3-0 with a 1.10 ERA with 34 K and just five walks. Gonzalez is just 1-5 in eight starts against the Royals in his career.
