Yangervis Solarte lost his wife on Saturday:
The wife of San Diego Padres third baseman Yangervis Solarte died Saturday of complications from cancer.
Yuliette Solarte died before Saturday’s game in Colorado, Padres manager Andy Green confirmed. She was 31.
Yangervis Solarte was scratched from Friday’s game and flew to Florida to be with his wife and three daughters.
My thoughts go out to her family, friends, and teammates of Solarte.
Yuliette is the wife, Yangervis is the husband. The 1st sentence has it backwards, sort of. Not trying to criticize, but know you want to be accurate. Thank you as always for this site. Delete this when you see it if you would.
