Thames Ties

Don't ask Dotel. He gives up a grand slam to Marcus Thames in the top of the eighth inning, tying the White Sox at seven. John Danks pitched six strong innings but was lifted after 95 pitches. Miller and Morgan suggested the reason for that was to bring back Danks on short rest due to the double header. That seems a stretch, as with rosters expanded there should be some pitcher available for an emergency start.

On the other hand, Ozzie Guillen should expect his bullpen to be able to hold a seven run lead.

Available, sure. One you'd want to start in the middle of a pennant drive, no.
