Thomas Tossed
Phil Hughes strikes out Vernon Wells and Frank Thomas with a man on third to end the top of the fourth. Thomas is caught looking on a pitch a bit inside. He doesn't like the call, the ump allows him to spout for a bit, then finally tosses Frank. The Jays do score a run in the inning and lead 1-0 as both Hughes and McGowan are pitching very well.

The umpire was calling that up and in pitch all night. According to gameday they were all inside.
Frank's issue is that the umpire called a closer pitch a ball in that at bat.
Aside, is there a way to overlay a strike zone on gameday?
Frank figures if he doesn't swing it's a ball.
Thomas has a legit beef, because the ump was inconsistent. Molina was clearly annoyed at points in the game as well (catching Hughes). Phil got the call on that pitch, but earlier in the same at bat threw the *exact same pitch* and it was called a ball. He threw that pitch all night, and it was 50/50 odds on ball/strike. That's no good for anyone.
